Aureliano Tango Club

Category Tango MAY 16th London receives one more time this accomplish trio as part of an extensive European tour. Aureliano Tango Club is by far one of the most successful trio emerging from Buenos Aires in the last 3 years. We are delighted to make possible the unique performance of these talented musicians @Corrientes Social Club. Aureliano Tango Club will bring us a full concert of traditional tandas of tango, Waltz and Milonga to dance. This versatile trio will shift from his jazz sound to perform strong traditional tangos, an especial programme for all our social tango dancers @Corrientes. Not to be missed -www.corrientessocialclub.co.uk- “The singer, composer and double-bass player from Cordoba province Aureliano Martín takes the trio format as a basis for shifting tango from its conventional sound. However, his singing is deeply tango-style. When performing “Romance de Barrio”, “Milonga Sentimental” and “Flor de Lino” with sober romanticism, there are no doubts as to what he intends to convey. A former member of a popular music band, Marín surprised the porteño audience, three years ago, with his exquisite phrasing and his ability to jazz with the double-bass, getting carried away though by the tango spirit of, for instance, “Mano a mano”.” ---Buenos Aires 10th Tango Festival 2008--- This critically acclaimed band, founded and directed by the young and talented musician Aureliano Marín, has a wide recognition among the press, the public and his colleagues in Buenos Aires. THE NATION “El Tanguero of double bass. What is really attractive is how he interprets a repertoire of classic tango: a sound voice, naturally, a lot of work.” Mauro Apicella CLARÍN “It is one of the singers of tango that can not be made for the tourists ... He is odd and sings with a precise, measured phrasing and a grave and clear voice while playing the bass ... Mariano delMazo.” FINANCIAL FIELD “An excellent tanguero was born. The young musician from Cordoba, Aureliano Marin is shown as an original tanguero, he does not betray the tradition of the genre.” Ricardo Salton TELAM “Aureliano Marin ... emerged as one of the young performers most promising of the decade. Marin virtues are evident, and not because he has a classic training, he does no shouts, he modulates and can be understood without engole. He has a dark voice, melodious, quite manly. Marin is not corny.” Hector Puyo.
