In order for your entry being accepted and confirmed please provide Competitior Entry Fee Form with your completed Form which you will find on the organiser's website.
Senior Competitiors can dance Senior Championships only.
Under21 Years can dance Rising Stars in each branch and either Under 21 Years Championships or Open Amateur in each branch.
All entries will be acknowledged by post. Please contact the organiser if you didn't receive a confirmation witing 10 days after the closing date (31st March 2009)!!

The organiser will provide a twin-room at this hotel, on the day before and day after the competition for all the couples who were in the top 24 last year (2008 World Super Series Asian Open Professional in Japan) and for couples who rank within the top 12 in 2008 Asian ranking.

Prize money
Total prize money $160,000.
Pro Open - 1st place $16,000, 2nd - $12,000, 3rd - $9,000, 4th $8,000, 5th - $5,400, 6th - $4,800, semi finals (7th-12th) $2,400.
Pro Closed - 1st place $2.600, 2nd - $1,800, 3rd - $1,400, 4th - $1,000, 5th - $800, 6th - $600, semi finals (7th-12th) $300.
Amateur Open - 1st place $2,400, 2nd - $1,600, 3rd - $1,200, 4th - $800, 5th - $600, 6th - $400, semi finals (7th-12th) $240.

Jonathan Crossley and Lyn Marriner split

Ballroom couple Jonathan Crossley and Lyn Marriner terminated their partnership. They represented England and danced together for nearly 6 years.
Lyn and Jonathan were multiple times the British Closed Professional Ballroom medallists. Last year they won the Professional Vienesse Waltz, Waltz and Foxtrot and were overall placed 1st in England. They were the finallists of Blackpool and UK Open for several years. In 2005 they represented England at the WDDSC World Professional Standard championships and finished on the 4th place. In 2004, Lyn and Jonathan were European Professional Standard bronze medallists.
At the moment there is not any official information about their future plans.

Gregoire Lyonnet & Anastasija Gorbacenko split

Gregoire Lyonnet & Anastasija Gorbacenko decided to split. They represented France and danced togather for almost 4 years.
They were French Amateur Latin vice-champions 2008, representing France in World and European Championships. They were two times semi-finalists of Blackpool Under 21 in 2006 and 2007 and reached the final of the IDSF (International Dance Sport Federation) World Latin Cup in 2007.
Gregoire and Anastasija would like to thank their parents, teachers, sponsors and French federation. Both of them will continue to dance, and are now searching for new partners.

All Championships and competitions will be conducted under the BDC rules. Trophies to be held for a period of 12 months. All participants must be registered with their National Amateur Association.
Juniors must be over 12 and under 16 years of age for the Junior competitions. Juveniles must be over 6 and under 12 years of age for the Juvenile competitions. The group in which the couple participate will be determined by the older partner. Proof of age: Birth Certificate or Passport.
Times of competition
Monday: 3.30pm
Tuesday: 3.00pm
Wednesday: 2.00pm
Thursday: 2.15pm
Friday: 3.00pm
Saturday: 1.00pm
Sunday: 1.00pm
Please obtain your number at least 10 minutes before the competition.
